I’m a political journalist with dual UK-EU nationality based in London.
In 2017-18 I reported on UK policy for Research Fortnight. I covered the arts, humanities and social sciences, open-access publishing, the use of aid money for research, The Open University, and UCL’s £483m expansion, among other things. In May 2018 I won the Association of British Science Writers’ Best Newcomer Award.
In 2016-17 I covered EU policy developments for Research Europe, reporting from the UK as well as from Italy, Belgium, Estonia, Slovakia, Malta and Jordan. Before that I studied politics at the University of Cambridge.
